About Dr. Kathlyn Reed

Dr. Kathlyn Reed graduated in 1977 from Northwestern College at Chiropractic. She has done intensive research in Neurological studies, acupuncture, nutrition, homeopathies, and the benefits of vitamins. She is certified in low level infra-red laser techniques and meridian stress assessment. She has taken classes at the Carrick Institute for Graduate Studies on learning disabilities.

Dr Reed is a mother of a child with dyslexia that after many years of frustration was finally diagnosed in ninth grade. Her son went to public school where, from her experience, she did not get the support that was needed to help him. She spent hours and hours at the kitchen table helping him with his homework. It would take 2-3 hours to do a simple 20 minute assignment. She would use bribery and punishment just to get through the assignments night after night. She felt like the school didn’t have the resources that were needed to help her son and went to outside sources to find the answer.

Dr. Reed searched for that answer that would “fix” her son. She found herself reading every book she could get her hands on and going through all the research that could be found. She learned that there were multiple methods of treatment and a lot of information but was unsure of what method would work or where to start.

Dr. Reed learned that there wasn’t one answer to solve the problem. In her years of searching she learned that each child is an individual and that you need to work with the child as a whole (such as allergies, food sensitivities, mind-body connections, and neurological deficits) to help reframe the diagnosis.

Her journey has now brought her to bring this information to you through evaluation of the individual. She will help you find the unique assessment and create custom tailored Non-Pharmaceutical treatment that meets the needs of your child.
